Strong lyric. The vocalist delivers a compelling performance and lovely use of backing vocals. The song has a strong melody, with the &#8216;California Sky&#8217; line delivering the hook. Shades of Al Stewart in the song.    <\/p>\n<p><b>Constructive Comments: <\/b>I&#8217;ve marked down the instrumentation because I think drum track is too intrusive, for example I would have left it out of the intro and first verse..introducing it later to build the track. And perhaps I might have replaced the synth with a subtler pad, just to give a hint of strings. Having said all that I like the song.
