For the style of music, it has great instrumentation, but for it to succeed, it needs to have a strong hook reprised frequently.  Having read reviews of my pieces I am also guilty of this, so I am saying this from a subjective point of view.  Having been in a band with fluent and accomplished guitar soloing is impressive, but it needs to have more of a theme. <\/p>\n<p><b>Constructive Comments: <\/b>As I mentioned above, I made the mistake of using excessive instrumentation to try and succeed, but from what I&#8217;ve heard through soundtracks using heavy rock music, a melodic theme should be more evident, plus the drums should be more pounding to a definite precise rhythm, there is a lot of percussive prowess there, but as I have learned the hard way, it is not about a display of instrument ability, more of it grabbing the ear, and leaving a lasting impression. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Broadjam Artist: PowerklashSong: GrindletonReviewer: TrinityPositive Comments: This is the kind of track where you really have to be a fan of heavy rock instrumentals to rally appreciate this, so I have to be objective.
