Banging piano groove over top of a tight bass & drums groove–with a driving bass part (cool work in the coda) and some really cool high hat work. This is a solid tune with good lyrics and hook.

Constructive Comments: You know I was about to give up on this because the intro was really “band in a box” and boring. Then the rhythm kicked in, and I was totally on board. So I suggest starting with the full band.Oh no no no Van Halen solos. Pick harmonics and relentless hammer on’s are so OVER. Says me. That solo just destroys the song daggonit.I think you can get a better vocal performance out of this. There are a few places where the phrasing is kinda draggy (first couple lines), you’re doing too much vocal fry (forced gravel voice), and are a bit flat in spots. You’ve got a good vocal timbre–I’d argue for trying some shorter, more staccato notes to avoid long holds where it’s easy to go flat. Add a 2nd vocal on the chorus parts throughout. This is good work–I’m picking at the stuff I’d change if I were producing…

Broadjam Artist: Powerklash
Song: Lamplight

Reviewer: Jeff Roberts

Positive Comments: This has an Elton John Yellow Brick Road vibe.
