Very much like the Posies actually. Really strong and enjoyable vocal performance with very good lyrics, melody, and changes underneath that add drama. Excellent arrangement, jangly guitars, and the backing vocals are ace. This is really like a period classic that I never heard before. Superb work!!

Constructive Comments: The vocal level needs to come up a bit (or back off the instruments). I wonder if that hard beater on the busy kick part isn’t too much? It drives hard but it works against the melodic charm of the tune. Overall the drums have huge energy but is it working for the song best? On repeat listen I’ll take the question away–the drums are stepping on the tune. I’d dial the volume back on the drums, especially the kick and EQ the kick a bit to more solid “felt rather than heard” bass tone.

Broadjam Artist: John MasaroneSong: Superman CurlReviewer: Jeff RobertsPositive Comments: This is really solid early 80s Power Pop like The Connells, REM, Mitch Easter, Posies, or like a band I was in called The Deal.
