This could be a lost Mitch Ryder song with that strong backbeat and 500 lb bassline!  Great organ and the rhythm guitar on the verses is snappy and cool.  The vocal is very strong, and the backing\/answering coming in on phrases &#8220;I shoulda known right then and there&#8221; and the parallel spot are really strong with a great staccato execution and punching accents (that sounds like the Moody Blues).  People had hits in the 60&#8217;s and 70&#8217;s with much less&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><b>Constructive Comments: <\/b>The vocals are a bit lost in the mix due to mix level and EQ.  Also the constant doubling\/harmony reduces the impact I think .  There&#8217;s too much turnaround time between first and second verse with no real solo fill or something to add interest&#8211;I&#8217;d slame the verses one after the other and keep the momentum.  The guitar tone is a bit too processed\/midrange narrow &#8211;hard to explain but I wish you could hear a bit more air and speaker crunch in it.
