Drew Hale

Positive Comments: Really enjoyed the upbeat bounce of this song. The fiddle is a nice touch, and really adds to the arrangement. Very nice voices both male and female. Track is solid, and players are well locked in time. I appreciate the groove of the congas behind this track, adds a nice layer to the instrumentation. Great acoustic guitar tone!!

Constructive Comments: Constructively I don’t have a whole lot. Lyrically, I like much of what you have to say about the love between the 2 people, but I don’t know that I really “get” the focus of the song. It’s a great love song, but I don’t see anything deeper thematically. It just feels like a jumble of love lyrics. I don’t personally track with the “11 to 1” line at the end. I’ve listened through a few time trying to figure that one out…maybe it’s something personal for the song recipient? Nothing wrong with that, it just doesn’t allow the rest of us to be in on the secret…which is the mark of a legendary love song. Definitely enjoyed the listen though!
