If you are using the melody to sing to (which I have done myself), later turn that melody down to very low volume or completely off. It would be better with accompliment without the melody during the vocal. The piano melody is fine when there is no vocal. Also, it makes it hard to hear the lyrics with the Piano melody in the way. Maybe, just play through the chords and record it. Let the piano melody play where there is no vocal. Remix and replace the song with the revised version. You could even harmonize with yourself on the hook, if so, keep the harmony at a lower volume. Don&#8217;t overdo.
