We can all identify with the subject matter, so it has universal appeal. A good touch of humour and reality.The retro-style  (honky tonk?) piano sets the mood for the whole feel of the song in clever contrast to the very modern complaint  &#8216;everything is made in China&#8217;. The opening atmosphere is decidedly oriental, so a perfect match for the lyrics.
