Positive Comments: Wasn’t expecting the beautiful chords at the beginning. They got my attention. Sounded like an intro to a Deadmau5 tune.

Constructive Comments: I was waiting for this to really take off and get pumping!! But then I’m a freak for tunes like I remember by Deadmau5! Builds nicely and some beautiful moments in there.

A Whiskey In The Morning / Rock by Uncle Spider & The Electric Dirt Clods

Song: A Whiskey In The Morning / Rock

Reviewer: Antho

Positive Comments: Very cool sounding guitar idea – ripe for a lyricist/singer to run with. The melodies lend themselves to a great song in the making

Constructive Comments: I’d like to hear the part up until 0:32 played on a nylon string acoustic, and the rest of the song on a guitar with a little bit of midrange drive, like through a Vox.

Constructive Comments: I can’t really think of anything other than updating the drums. Keep it smooth like it is just another drum kit. And that’s nit pickin’. LOL. Excellent song overall.

Positive Comments: The simple piano lulled me in quickly. Even though there are no lyrics I feel like there is a hook in the song…a musical hook and I think the musical hook is strong. The tempo is nice and the composition is nice. I would say there is a majestic sound overall. This piece would lend itself to many visual situations and should do fairly well for you. The recording is decent quality, the mix is very good, and the master sounds nice and full. Nice job.

Constructive Comments: I would say that although I do like the piece, I think that the “ah” vocals and the strings have, possibly, too much of a computer driven sound to them. The piano sounds nice and natural to my ears. I think some better sounding vocal and string patches would help this song immensely because it is a very well composed song. Thanks again for sharing and good luck.

Positive Comments: This tune builds so well! Electric piano intro grabbed me right away. The HH and congas with a ton of verb got the groove chugging, and then some nice bass playing gave some support. Extremely cool, moody piece of music here. Originality scores are high on this piece. Visually I could see this piece doing well in many areas. The recording is organic and sounds nice and real. The mix is perfect and the master sounds like a professional job. I really enjoyed the song. Thanks for sharing.

Constructive Comments: The only and I mean ONLY thing I would say about this song to critique it is that the strings at the end might not need to be there. Other than that, I loved it and I would like to hear more. Very enjoyable. The groove is happening.

Positive Comments: Great guitar tone. Tasty and sparse, I like that.

Constructive Comments: It’s very well done, don’t have much. But, just thinking maybe a cold stop, or two, would add a nice contrast.

The Usual Victim by HarryBudini

Song: The Usual Victim

Reviewer: Jeff Roberts

Positive Comments: Groovy psychedelic vibe that reminds me of Lennon, Bowie, and more currently, Of Montreal. Of course it’s Harry. I think you’re using your voice perfectly in this one. Cool sitar touches and swirling feel. I really like at 2:20 where you starting hitting one One with sitar splash–this gives it a Funk that really works.

Constructive Comments: That bridge comes in really late–it should be a good bit sooner. The bass & drums are kind of fluttery and don’t really settle into a smooth rhythm, which detracts from the song. I think they’d be so much better if more simple and grooving on the beat. The words are a bit hard to understand at times.
