Positive Comments: What a wonderful message within this music and lyrics. In a world full of chaos and violence, more positive, encouraging, and hope filled music is needed. When mere words and speeches are not effective, music moves the heart, emotion, and thoughts. This song does it all. Great music, great vocals, and the lyrics are stellar. I’m very impressed with what has been submitted here!

Constructive Comments: Not one critique from me.

Positive Comments: Lots of energy but lacking real punch. Love the synth programming. Great pulsating pad chords at various points which I am jealous of!

Constructive Comments: The drums need to have a greater presence for my money. Can’t decipher whether the bass is real or keys. Would love also to hear a major change in there somewhere be it a key change of major change of instrumentation to keep me glued.

Positive Comments: This is where guitar chops, arrangement skill, and a real ear for beauty come together! There is some majorly wonderful stuff going on here in sound that reminds me of Duane Allman’s Little Martha and Steve Kimock’s music. There are some crazy good moments going on here, including the climactic part at 1:19. Nice nice nice!

Constructive Comments: I’d remove the chorus effect. IMO it’s really killing the tone of the guitars and cluttering up the space so you don’t hear the excellent fingerpicking and voicing that you’re doing. I’d also drop the little chime/tinkle you’re adding–it’s almost like one of those bell tree things the Smooth Jazz dudes do at the end of a Kenny G solo. I’m not into the harmonics, I think they’re kinda cliche & weak next to the other stuff but that’s me. I’m picking at stuff only in the interest of making good great, and there are already some freakin great moments here!

Constructive Comments: Beautiful sounding Jazz – really makes you feel like flying, the only thing I would add is a different type of lead guitar solo with a slide – best wishes and may God bless!

Positive Comments: Wow, Great lead vocal voice quality. The song grabbed me right away. Great instrumentation and mix. You “nailed” the tempo, melody, lyrics, and overall presentation. I wanted to hear more, so I played it again (and will continue to listen to it some more). NICE JOB!

Constructive Comments: I wanted to hear a little more volume on the harp at the beginning. My ear would like a little more treble on the lead guitar (to make it a little more distinct). These are really not criticisms, just what my ears/brain would like.

Constructive Comments: Not a lot of negatives – very professional sounding tune, I think the saxophone may take over this a piece a little too much even though it sounds fantastic! Instead of a flat top guitar – I would like to hear a little more of an edge with a lead electric guitar – best wishes and may God bless!

Positive Comments: Great intro that calls both Tom Petty’s Free Fallin’ and Allmans’ Melissa to mind–then you bring vocals in right on cue. Clean and powerful vocals that are given lots of space and hold up to the challenge! Incredibly pleasing vocal timbre and a very convincing emotional performance. This kinda song could help a lot of guys get married if it were playing in the truck. This is one of the best voices out there. Great bridge that really lifts.

Constructive Comments: beautiful eye–heyes I’d recommend not making two syllables out of ‘eyes’ I think it’s awkward and weak. Great as is but I’d love to hear what it’d sound like with a chord walk up on “then I saw you” I think that would kill. “It’s just something…inside of me” is good but not great, when you really want great at that moment.I’m not a hitmaker in Nashville but I’d really like to work on the lyrics/phrasing and chord structure with you to see if I could make this better. It’s freakin’ awesome regardless. Nice work!

Positive Comments: Nice recording. Clean intro draws in the listener. Kind of Latin feel, could apply a Bossa Nova(ish) on this one. Nice Chorus. Very beautiful chord progression, good groove and I like the arrangement I loved the Coda where you grooved on the reprise to the fade… You don’t hear music written like that much anymore so the more I hear it the more happy I am. So many good things about this track, love the live feel and respect for the song writer!! Al the elements are there and shinning… super nice bridge and guitar break leading back to the hook. There are too many great hooks in this song to count!

Constructive Comments: Would have liked a more prominent drum track. The drum machine parts are buried leaving me feeling something is missing sonically. My man Chet, you and I need to do a collaboration…… If you have something laying around that needs drums, it’s on me. 🙂
