Song: How I Roll (Instrumental)
Reviewer: Rin Vinson
Positive Comments: Wow, what a great, great song. Please tell me instrumentation in the first 8 bars…!!! Before the music kicks in…I would love to know. I can’t get enough. All of the instrumentation is just absolutely perfect. I’m so glad to have been able to hear this. The groove is KILLER…The tempo, dead on, and the composition is just so perfectly sparse and perfectly performed. The bridge is so smooth and not a groove killer. Upright bass, B3, sax, trumpet, electric piano…wurlitzer maybe…Just beautiful on all ends. Composition, recording, mix, and master all dead on the money. I wish there were more artists like this. New fan here.
Constructive Comments: You kidding me? Nothing negative on my end. Thank you so much for sharing. I loved it.

Song: A Whiskey In The Morning / Rock
Positive Comments: Very cool sounding guitar idea – ripe for a lyricist/singer to run with. The melodies lend themselves to a great song in the making
Constructive Comments: I’d like to hear the part up until 0:32 played on a nylon string acoustic, and the rest of the song on a guitar with a little bit of midrange drive, like through a Vox.

Song: Put Your Heart Back In The Freezer

Positive Comments: Liked the arrangement and the hook. Great sound overall.
Constructive Comments: I probably would have stuck with acoustic instruments and not used pedal steel on this one.

Song: Separate Roads
Reviewer: Brenda Craven
Positive Comments: Nothing like the sound of a Rhodes. Everything here is outstanding. You have done a terrific job on this song. Great piece, Great composition. I was waiting for a key change and a very noticeable break in the song and you certainly did not disappoint. Bravo!
Constructive Comments: No critique.

Song: Beyond This Life
Reviewer: Rin Vinson
Positive Comments: The simple piano lulled me in quickly. Even though there are no lyrics I feel like there is a hook in the song…a musical hook and I think the musical hook is strong. The tempo is nice and the composition is nice. I would say there is a majestic sound overall. This piece would lend itself to many visual situations and should do fairly well for you. The recording is decent quality, the mix is very good, and the master sounds nice and full. Nice job.
Constructive Comments: I would say that although I do like the piece, I think that the “ah” vocals and the strings have, possibly, too much of a computer driven sound to them. The piano sounds nice and natural to my ears. I think some better sounding vocal and string patches would help this song immensely because it is a very well composed song. Thanks again for sharing and good luck.

Song: Earth to Angel
Reviewer: CAEDMON’S DREAM
Positive Comments: * unique lead vocals* song has memorable chorus/hook* lyrics have a strong universal message * simple instrumentation & nice chord changes* could be a movie “message” piece
Constructive Comments: + production is clear but mono track stereo sound-field can help each instrument stand out+ doubled vocals loses clarity in lyric at times+ chorus vocal is strong: but a unique instrumental part or lead-line to go along with chorus would help it stand apart from rest of the song

Song: Old Man
Reviewer: Jeff Roberts
Positive Comments: Of course the first moments call Cowgirl in the Sand to mind…and you turn it around by using an “Old Man” hook. Really good sound and mood are created in the first few bars. The voice is commanding and really pleasing. I like the upward changes in the chorus. This has a very strong late 70’s feel. Super tasty guitar break. This calls to mind Neil Young of course but also Seals & Crofts, Jesse Winchester, Steven Stills, Rodriguez, and Bob Welch. And anyone who likes those will love this. Super work here!
Constructive Comments: Like what? lol
