Song: Bounce House

Positive Comments: This is a fun song. It’s managed to find the fine balance between being funny for kids, and also having something for the parents in the audience. The vocals are great — lots of inflection and emphasis, without being over-done. And the singer’s voice is pretty much perfect for this kind of song.I wondered about the piano arrangement at the beginning, until I realized what kind of song this was. Then I just let the rather impressive finger-work carry me along for the ride. Nicely done. Also, you’ve done a great job with the bridge and the final verse. This song tells a story, and teaches about consequences, instead of just repeating the same (wonderfully) silly idea of an old lady wanting to be a kid again in the bounce house.
Constructive Comments: Not much I can really complain about in this song. I’d say the piano work could amp up the interest a little more with some “silent movie”-style dynamics. And the switch to the head voice at the very end is weaker, vocally, than the rest of the song. Maybe go more operatic or church-choir-ish so that it packs more of a punch?Oh, and one more thing: maybe make the scream a little more cartoonish? It’s almost too real. 🙂
