Peanuts Again by Nigel Barrett

Song: Peanuts Again

Positive Comments: Tune has a distinct 80’s synth pop vibe, even reminded me a little at first of the soundtrack to Miami Vice or some of those other 80’s TV shows. Well done musically, nice variation in dynamic, certainly usable in a lot of commercial context.

Constructive Comments: Same as above, I could certainly see this being used commercially if you find the right setting though I don’t know if I would call it jazz, more pop/r&b. Well done, no real issues.

Love is What You Leave by Jeff Ashbaker

Positive Comments: I like the Sultans of Swing type guitar work – very effective and fits with the song really well. Vocal reminds me a bit of Roger Whitaker. Chorus makes a nice contrast to the verses. And I love the message of the chorus/hook. And the end line is great.

Constructive Comments: Vocal is nice, but sounds ever so slightly ‘wobbly’ in parts on the verses? But to be fair, this could be my ears… Just … seems to need a little bit of something to make it really sparkle.

Driving Home For The Holidays Instrumental by Margie & Art Corey

Margie & Art Corey

Broadjam Artist: Margie & Art Corey
Song: Driving Home For The Holidays Instrumental

Reviewer: MGB

Positive Comments: Superbly performed and mixed piece. The effects are unreal. This is as relaxing as it gets. This would sound great in the background of many shows or movies, especially a suspense film.

Constructive Comments: Very well put-together piece.
